So, you’ve stumbled across my website and now you’re on my blog. Welcome! Luckily, you haven’t missed much because this is my very first blog post on this website! I figured I would use this post to share some insights into my life and personality. So, if you’re still interested, keep reading to find out a little more about me!
As you can tell from my website, my name is Emily Gardner and I am an artist from Berkley, Massachusetts. Berkley is a very small town from southern Massachusetts, filled with farms and only one Dunkin Donuts (that’s how you know it’s small in New England). Growing up, I didn’t have many companions or hobbies except for art, which is why I decided to become an artist at a very early age. I was always drawn to photography and started using my first camera when I was 10. Later on in high school, I took my first art-oriented classes and decided that being a photographer was in my future. The Massachusetts College of Art was the only college I applied to and, luckily for me, I got in.
I’m a firm believer that your career doesn’t limit your capacity to do other things. Although photography is my career of choice, I have so many other interests that I’m passionate about! Music has always been a staple in the seams of my life. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have music to listen to. It’s kept me together through very hard times. Although I can't play an instrument, I do sing and post covers on my Instagram. Later on in my blog adventures, I’ll let you in on my favorite bands as well as my picks for best music of 2016.
I’m also an avid gamer and love to play video games. I was just gifted a Playstation 4 and would love more friends to play with! One of my favorite companies in the world, Rooster Teeth, has a YouTube channel for gaming, but I love their website content just as equally. I recommend it if you like Vice because they do their own documentary series and have various podcasts. Personally, I see them as the next Viceland!
Lastly, I am a makeup junkie and have definitely bought more makeup than I need in my lifetime. I started doing my own makeup in middle school and love to experiment with new styles and colors. I watch YouTube beauty gurus all the time and love to geek out on new products.
I hope you’ve learned things you didn’t know about me through this blog post. If there’s one thing you can take away from this post, it’s that my various social media portals are always open for chats, questions, and job inquiries. If you ever want to reach out to me, don’t hesitate! I always love to meet new people and network.
