Then Vs. Now: Photography Progress

When I first started practicing photography, I would see these amazing photographs from famous photographers and think that I could never get to that level.

I get a lot of comments on my photos that go something like, "Wow! I could never do that!" As much as I appreciate compliments, this is super untrue! Everything comes with practice. I've been working with photography for over 8 years now and I'm still learning, growing, and improving my work. I think it's important for people to see the drastic changes in people's work to prove this point. Clay Moss, an amazing photographer from Texas, has a thread on Twitter that's full of progress photos from photographers around the world and it's so inspiring.

I'm going to embarrass myself a bit (but it's all for you guys!) and show some of my own progress photos in my own version of Then Vs. Now!

Moral of this post is: never doubt yourself! With enough practice and passion, you can achieve all your goals. Just keep working and pushing yourself to try new things. Trust me, these "before and afters" are only within a couple years of each other so as long as you push yourself, you can do it!
