Life Update: June 2017

Hey guys!

First of all, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has been checking out the blog and supporting this website. It means so much to me and I've gotten a lot more activity than I thought I would when I first launched my blog.

As ya'll probably know (or if you don't), I graduated a month ago from the Massachusetts College of Art with my BFA in Photography. Since then, I've been job searching and trying to schedule as many shoots as possible. When launching the blog a couple months ago, I've wanted to be completely honest and transparent with you guys because that's how I am and I believe in being as truthful as possible. My freelance business has not been picking up as I had hoped and it's been extremely difficult to find clients, even for TFP shoots (aka free shoots for my portfolio). It's been really hard to keep adding content for you every week that is relating to photography.

That being said, I was lucky enough to be offered a job at Apple as a Specialist for the company. I've wanted to work for Apple ever since I first walked into one of the stores in high school and I'm so excited to start this journey with the company. During this past weekend, I attended a three-day training course for Apple in Boston and met some amazing people. I learned how to integrate myself into the company and help customers. It was an incredible experience and I will always remember the people I met there!

By the time this post comes out, I will have already started at Apple. The position is part-time for now, but now that I will be working for someone else and not myself, there will be some changes to the blog. Instead of posting twice a week, I will be only posting on Fridays for now. My original plan for this blog was to post a photoshoot on Wednesday and a personal post on Friday, but seeing as I will not have time for nearly as many shoots, it makes the most sense for me to cut down on my posting. That being said, I am not done with photography! It's still my passion and I want to pursue it in my free time. I will still be available for shoots, but I will need to know three weeks in advance if you'd like to schedule something. No more last minute scheduling for this girl! If you'd like to book something, please email me with inquiries and I'll get back to you within 24 hours.

Thank you for the support and I can't wait to show ya'll what's in store for me!
