Rainy Day Newport Adventure

Hi, I'm still here!

If you check my blog regularly, first of all, thank you for that! Second of all, you may have noticed there was not a post last week. Last Friday was the launch of the iPhone X and I was so swamped at work that I forgot to schedule a post. But, I have a brand new one for you here! I finally got a weekend off and decided to go on an adventure with Deane and Jake to Newport.

We hit the beach first, but as you can see, it wasn't exactly the best day for relaxing by the water. It had been cloudy in the morning, but it got worse when we got there. We decided to check out someplace new this time while we waited for it to clear up: the Newport Audrain Auto Museum. It had amazing classic cars and there was so much history behind each one. They allowed photography, so of course I had to shoot!

After we left the museum, it still hadn't cleared much, but we went for a "sunset" beach walk anyway to round out the day. I love spending time with these two and going on nature walks, especially since winter is right around the corner. Remember, there's no better gift than the gift of memories. If you're interested in booking a shoot for your loved ones for the holidays, send me an email! See you next week!

Shell-searching at Colt State Park

As the maid of honor of my sister's wedding, I had a very important task: collect big seashells for the placemats! To do this, my mother and I took my dog, Lucy, for a beach day and hunted for shells at Colt State Park in Rhode Island. It was a beautiful day, so I had to document it! Enjoy some pictures that make it feel like summer.

See With Me: Cape Cod Canal

One of my favorite things to do is find new places and explore.

Luckily, my best friend, who also happens to be my boyfriend, loves to adventure, too! Last week, we took a trip down to the Cape Cod Canal. I hadn't been there before, but he had, so he took me around and showed me the sights!

Deane had just gotten a longboard so he cruised along while I stopped every inch of the way to take pictures. I'm not the best walking buddy! I get very distracted by everything I see when I'm visiting a place for the first time.

The long, winding road transformed into a pathway made of huge rocks and it took us out to the ocean. We saw a couple boats, but it was definitely not warm enough for people to be swimming or hanging out in the ocean.

Overall, Cape Cod Canal makes my list of "Awesome Places of New England" for sure. I'd recommend checking it out and bringing your beach towel for a nice, relaxing day by the ocean.

Go out and explore with me!
